Who will watch this programme?

I wonder how people would feel if after searching for their relatives how would you react to finding your relative is in a maximum security prison for murder.

Would you ignore, visit or even own up to?

Programme aside, which we won't be watching..

....how would I feel to find out that a close relative was a murder?

Shocked initially, and possibly research the trial. Then it would probably be weighing up the chances that we could shared family knowledge - what's happened to whom since we last saw each other - against is he a 'bad' person who I wouldn't want to have anything to do with.

Depending on the decision, I'd probably write and see what sort of response he gave. Just because you share the same parent(s) it doesn't automatically follow that you like each other or have anything incommon.

I don't think I'd necessarily own up to being related, unless I could get away with only saying that he was in prison.
