Gwynne Must admit I much prefer "idle curiosity" to "amateur sleuthing"

When the little girl went missing in our road in Leamore in 1965 or 1966, the whole of the family and everyone in the area was involved in looking for her. We all searched alongside her parents, grandparents (only two were still alive) and her cousins and aunts and uncles. It was primarily a family affair, and we were all devastated when her body was found on Cannock Chase.

Same thing has happened here in terms of spontaneous support and we all want to do something to help - even if just wishing for safe return of April and wishing Coral and family well. But there only seems to be her poor mother Coral and step-sister and godmother in the media.:-S :-S

Here's hoping for better news today :-)

So do I - the questions you have asked are totally inappropriate and I cannot see the need for anyone not connected with the family to know the 'family background'.

Guinevere Report 5 Oct 2012 10:35

You missed my later post, John, Bridger has been charged with April's murder.

The rest of the family may have really good reasons for not talking to the media. Health issues spring to my mind. And whatever the reasons are they are none of your business.

John

Been reading this and sat on my hands......but

What in god’s name have the childs uncles, aunts or cousins got to do with anything?

Would you like them to parade for you, give you an account of their whereabouts and family background?

The only thing that has been on my mind is, April and her family. I can’t imagine what they are going through, it must be torture.

My prayers are with April and her family and I hope with all my heart that she is found safe and well

I've just read your later post Gwynne :-(

Thats such sad news :-(

Gwynne Did see your post after I had posted.

Not sure what to think of Bridger's arrest. Hopefully it indicates that police may be close to finding April.

We all hoped for good news today (even curious people), but even a sad result will be better than not finding April at all. Remember that poor lady Winnie who never found remains of son on Saddleworth Moor.

This has been a lovely caring thread and I feel the questions I asked were really because I have followed case quite closely being not that far away and knowing area a little bit. Yet I had not read all the papers or seen all the news programmes and I genuinely thought others (perhaps with a better eye for detail than me) would have told me something I had missed.

I was under the impression you lived in the Rhonda Valley region - this is not where the little girl and her family lives is it? Why do you feel you need to know everything there is to know about this case and why would someone tell you anything you may have missed. Most people are more concerned with the fate of little April than any information regarding her family.

Kay???? Report 5 Oct 2012 11:06

John if youre not that far away youd have been more useful jumping in your car and going there to offer personal assistance. instead of posting daft questions.

Sharron

Sharron Report 5 Oct 2012 11:06

If Mark Bridger is the murderer he must take pre-meditation to a new level.

It seems he took the little girl out in his vehicle with his own children a couple of days before.

Would that be grooming? It would certainly do for any DNA evidence.

Sorry, SueMaid and Kay I would rather pass on your questions. Hope you can respect that. Will answer via pm if you want.

Sharron Think he has been arrested on "suspicion of murder". April not found yet, and still hope presumably she may be alive. I did read that April went in his Landrover 2 days before she was abducted in front of her friends (though had not picked up there were other children in vehicle).

But any other speculation may be unhelpful at present time.

OH well why did we not guess that YOU John will have been there done that and searched for a missing child ... give it up you are seriously starting to be a massive pain ... I actually have NO desire to see the whole family on TV or meeting the bloody Pope it will make no difference to the outcome .. if you want to be in the thick of it that much .. go look for and ask the police all your questions when you are there .. see how far you get with them .

John .... I am not the one wanting to know everything YOU are ....

Ditto meant "write to me by pm" and not on this thread. Seems inappropriate to have a go at me here, IMHO.

Joy has said all that needs to be said today I think.

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 5 Oct 2012 11:39

Sort of agree with that Rose. :-) Joy's post was lovely - as have been so many on this thread.

But until April is found, there must still be hope. I doubt the pink ribbons have yet been taken down.

Hopefully Joy may be premature

a lttle girl has for unkown reasons lost her life by all accounts by an overpowering evil person, all her hope and dreams of perhaps one day she too could become a royal princess and sit on the throne..........any future her family held in store for her wiped out.........

I'm sure like the everyone elses our thoughts be for those whos lives will have to go on without her.such a tragic heartbreak that would never be wished on anyone......
