No, but I have seen a couple I don't mind the look of,

I can hide the trainers under a long dress as well.

My drinking days are pretty much gone anyway.Think i may have had my lifetime's quata in earlier days!

It will be a disco I believe and I was rather hoping the slipping away bit might be before the first dance rather than after.

I have just ordered a couple of dresses on-line to peruse and I did inulge myself with a sweater to go over my jeans as a little reward.

Be the designated driver, then you won't be tempted to have the one too many ;-)

You could enjoy the meal then slip away after the first dance with the excuse that the Dad sitter needs to get home. Job done!

PMSL :-D :-D :-D :-D

Well we'll cross that one off the list then, but I do understand thats why I don't like em, yes like most I like to let me hair down get drunk and when I get the slightest bit tipsy I get loud and lairy .....there is a line between business Hayley and fun Hayley ;-) and to me the 2 don't mix.

But I think its great you have decided to attend... :-D

Sharron

Sharron Report 3 Oct 2012 09:55

Getting rat arsed was one of the reasons I stopped going to them Hayley.

It happened every time and the going round and apologizing to everybody afterwards is so time consuming. Not to mention the looking for another job.

They won't let me in and I will have to stay outside with a glass of lemonade and a packet of crispa like I usually do when we go out.

George, I am not a wife and nor do I intend to be.

He knows how much I don't want to go to that kind of event, has been to very few himself and has never expected me to accompany him.

Not quite sure why the change of heart Gwyn.I suppose that ,after forty years,it seemed like a good idea to have another look.

I don't have any Dockers at the moment but might look out the Toe-Teckters in case he expects me to dance (it won't happen!).

I'm not there yet and I am itching to get home already.

Sharron Report 2 Oct 2012 21:36

The college for which the OH works is organizing a black tie dinner for Christmas. I studiously avoid any event for which it is necessary to dress up and have manage to not attend anything like this for over forty years.

I am,however, planning to attend this one.

I am looking to buy a dress for the event, even though I have not worn a dress this century and rarely wore one in the last.

What next I ask myself?

Watch this space!
