Yes - it was funny Jax :-D

Hello Allan :-D

Sylvia - you can distract now. I'm getting rather bored with people telling me how wonderful I am ;-)

Suzanne thank you for bowing at my feet - I couldn't do that as I wouldn't be able to get back up :-0

I'm a fully qualified teacher ................. no Education degree, but received my qualification registration from Dept of Educ in London after working for 1 year and demonstrating to the powers-that-be that I was good at it. Exactly the same qualification as someone with an Education degree would have got.

Do you mean, I've lost that qualification???

OH never did get his qualification, despite teaching since 1964 ....... he taught in a private school in the UK and they were not part of the qualification scheme, whether or not you had a teaching degree or not. He then taught in universities over here from 1967, until present day.

Sorry, Sue ...................... not to distract from your thread :-D :-D :-D

Never Remember Our Various Awards?? :-D

Gee

Gee Report 8 Oct 2012 21:36

Not the case these days Sylvia....have to have the original cert for proof of qual, no photo copies.....and proof of GCSE English/Maths

You can no longer teach without this proof and teachers need to have a teaching qual along with, occupational competence

What the heck is NROVA ????

JustJohn Report 8 Oct 2012 21:34

Sylvia Age is only a number :-D :-D We are both teenagers mentally. I am 18 when I get out of bed, and then I look in the mirror :-D :-D

Hardly anything about NROVA's on Google. My wife has still got hers with her NVQ Level 3 in Office Management and all her other certs (like O level Welsh and O level Domestic Science). Introduced in 1987, and I remember times when nobody came for interview (no youngsters certainly) without this tablet detailing their life.

There must be thousands of these boxes lying around somewhere. I think we should have our best bits on here preserved in one for our posteriors :-D With SueM being first - as is her entitlement after HM the Queen and Dame Edna.

SylviaInCanada Report 8 Oct 2012 20:55

never seen one of those NROVA

they must have come in post 1967, when I left the UK

so I must be very much older than John :-D

I never had to show any of my certificates from school, or degrees from university to anyone, when applying for jobs.

I just had to explain what I had in the various degree courses ....... and I was believed :-D

I must have a very trustworthy looking face :-D :-D

that is why I agree that Sue is so wonderful.

:-D :-D :-D :-D

You had assumed.

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 8 Oct 2012 12:09

Anyway, I am happy tro sign your testimony for your NROVA. My title and my gravitas should swing a nice job for you :-D Get SueMaid to endorse you and you will get situation of your dreams :-D

No John I never have and I would never carry such things in a Harrods' bag. Perish the thought :-0

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 8 Oct 2012 11:52

Supercrutch Seem to think NROVA (enrover) was what they called it at first. Was your children's a grey plastic box about a quarter of an inch thick?

Sue Seems like it was a waste of money. It was meant to help people to be wonderful - but wonderful is as wonderful does. Have you never needed to go to interviews with a box in your Harrods carrier bag? :-D :-S
