I won't trust the WI again!

I did put this on my harvest festival thread but feel I should warn everybody.

Last night,as I was eating my harvest supper in all innocence, a WI member slipped up to me and asked if I would like some potato salad to take home after the event.

Of course,I felt special for being selected and quietly presented myself at the kitchen after the event, only to be presented with 4 kilos of over catered potato salad! Apparently it would only be wasted otherwise!

Those devious witches must know that it doesn't freeze or it would be,at this very moment, gracing WI freezers throughout the village.

Boy,do they know a mug when they see one!!!!

Potato salad anyone?

Oh dear :-( That'll teach you to say 'yes' when someone offers you leftovers.

Cold tea, stale spud salad.

What a picnic!

Don't be ungrateful Sharron.

If life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

If the WI land you with eighty portions of potato salad, make potato soup.

I made some and it wasn't too bad at all.

Only about two and a half kilos to go.

A browse on Google suggests coating some in parmesan and frying to make hot potato cakes.

If you blended some potato salad to a pulp, I wonder if you could freeze that mix in readiness for a basis of more soup at a later date...?

I could make soup and freeze it but we don't drink that much soup.

More than we eat potato salad but not a great deal.

After all that blowing off, don't suppose they trust you much either Sharron :-D

I went outside to do it.

Didn't see any of the WI do the same, or the vicar, but he did leave early before the entertainment.
