As an influential historian is being discussed elsewhere on the board I thought I might just say that the full text of 'The Village Labourer' by J.L and Barbara Hammond is available online.

Most of us seem to have one or two ag.labs.in our backgrounds.

It looks like their other book 'The Town Labourer' is also available.

I found them both by ust typing in the title.

Sharron, both sound like the type of books I would enjoy. But, | prefer my books in the hand, and having the pleasure of buying them.
When I next go into a proper book shop in Derbys, I'll try and remember to look for them.
