I KNOW I am getting old when I hear myself "tutting" just like my late Mother used to do. I "tutted" this morning and for a moment it was like my Mother was back in the room.

My spacial awareness broke yesterday!
I was doing a bit of baking....

Twice, I walked into a door frame trying to walk through.
I tried to put a dish in the sink and missed.... It smashed on the floor.
I put some cutlery in the dishwasher and... missed.
I weighed out some sugar but knocked it all onto the floor whilst reaching for the flour.

After clearing up, I gave upon the baking ..... I sat down on the sofa and... I nearly ended up on the floor!

My old dad's ninetieth birthday coincided with the village lunch so the WI decided they would write him a card.

A representative was duly despatched to Clintons but there were no suitable cards with 90 on them so she and the assistant agreed that sticking the numbers on a suitable card would be the best course of action.

Unfortunately, whereas they had all the other numbers available, there were no nines. The lady asked if it might be possible to order some in time for the event and the assistant was about to look into the possibility when a woman in the queue behind asked what was preventing them from turning a six upside down.

I once at the end of a very long day stood at the fridge trying to figure out which shelf I needed to put the dog's water bowl on, it took a good thirty seconds for the penny to drop that the dog bowl didn't belong in the fridge

Just had this conversation.....

OH: Do you have that woman's 'phone number?

Me: What woman?

OH: That woman who 'phoned on Friday

Me (after thinking about it): You mean Janet?

OH: Yes, Janet, where is her 'phone number?

Me: I wrote it on a piece of paper and left it on your desk.

OH: You couldn't have, because I don't have it.

Me (after walking to the kitchen & getting the scribble pad): Well, here is the half sheet that I tore off........ so you must have it.

OH: You probably threw it out

:-(

We don't know Janet's surname!

You are all so funny-thank God there are other people that do funny things as well as me!

My silliest moment was sending a postal note to my sister for her birthday-in her previous married name. She's only been remarried 15 years!! She couldn't cash it,as she had no ID in her old name,so I had to cancel the old postal note, and send her another one,in her " new"
married name.It cost me another $8.00!! :-| :-| :-| :-|

Scozz,
I think this will make us all feel better!

Ever walk into a room with some purpose in mind, only to completely forget what that purpose was?

Turns out, doors are to blame for these strange memory lapses.

Psychologists at the University of Notre Dame have discovered that passing through a doorway triggers what's known as an event boundary in the mind, separating one set of thoughts and memories from the next.

Your brain files away the thoughts you had in the previous room and prepares a blank slate for the new locale."

It's not aging, it's the door!
