Has anyone seen any posts from Maureen recently?

She usually pops up on the Find Ancestors board but i haven't seen any posts from her for a while now.

I hope she's ok.

Morning Prickles, no, I have not seen her recently.

Nor have I seen a Mr. Shrimp, who paid us a short but pleasent visit during the summer months.

Ginnie, I think Rita just goes on the 'Friendly' thread these days although I haven't looked in for quite a while.

A thread somewhere has said that Maureen in NY was fine, and unaffected by Hurricane Sandy.

I vaguely remember Mr Shrimp - watch him pop up now.
There's a number of 'occasional visitors' who seem to have 'disappeared' although one has a little go when mummy isn't looking :-(

Thanks Island & PH, i don't read the friendly thread so don't know if Rita is on there, for some reason I thought about her yesterday and realised that she didn't seem to be posting anymore.

Glad that Maureen wasn't affected by the hurricane

Never knew Mr. Shrimps proper name, but I think he had been on here in the past, possibly under a different name, or possibly one of the other GR boards. I know at the time the Beeb was doing some sort of historical programme, which came from Morecombe, and he said that is where he came from, hence his name.
He was quite aimiable and pleasent, didn't argue any point. Then he just vanished.

I too saw the post that said Maureen was ok.

Rita I believe was in hospital a gew weeks back and the last I saw when peeping at the friendly thread was that they were worried because they had not heard from her. I believe she has health problems so I hope somebody can find out if she is ok.
