Hayley Empress of Drama Report 20 Nov 2012 21:58

Most of it was filmed in Stockport not Halifax

AnninGlos Report 20 Nov 2012 22:01

Thought it was great, gentle humour, a bit of pathos, good actors and lovely scenery.

JustGinnie Report 20 Nov 2012 22:17

I enjoyed it as well. :-)

GinN Report 20 Nov 2012 22:21

Yes, I really enjoyed it. Good to have a drama that doesn't involve cops and robbers. Looking forward to next week.

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 21 Nov 2012 05:29

I just finished watching the recording and loved it, will enjoy keeping up with each week.

Strange to see Sarah Lancashire on the screen again so soon afther The Paradise and also odd to see Anne Reid writing letters again lol, I used to love Ladies of Letters with Maureen Lipman as well. Anne Reid is 77, she looks good for her age don't you think?

Julia Report 21 Nov 2012 08:47

Morning All, Yes we watched it, and after reading about it was really looking forward to it. And, we were not disappointed. not just the main story, but the developing sub stories.
Looking forward to the next episode.

I enjoyed it too-looking forward to seeing how the respective families react !!

I agree about Anne Reid looking good

Nice to see some "mature" actors

AnninGlos Report 21 Nov 2012 09:32

don't you think anne Reid always has a naughty twinkle in her eyes? I use to like her in Dinner ladies, always with the sharp one liners. And, yes she does look good for 77.

'Emma' Report 21 Nov 2012 11:31

Will be watching it later on today as was recorded last
night due to flippin footie being on. :-)

AnninGlos Report 21 Nov 2012 12:27

I am sure you will enjoy it Emma, in a sort of way it reminded me of As Time goes by and I loved that too. I shall look forward to next Tuesday.

Merlin Report 21 Nov 2012 14:08
