No it doesn't sound daft Emma, I know what you mean, it was the sort of programme that is relaxing and, yes, makes you feel content. Unlike murder mystery or spooky ones that have you sitting on the edge of your seat but are also enjoyable (but not relaxing). I enjoy The Hours but don't find that relaxing at all. :-)

I have just watched the recording of last weeks episode. It was a joy to watch something with no gratuitous violence, no sexual scenes, no swearing, no sreeching, no screaming or fighting. It still managed to portray a very real story extremely well acted. I am looking forward to the forthcoming episodes and seeing the storyline and characters develop. :-D

Thanks for the reminder Emma :-) I enjoyed last week (it's based on a true story isn't it? and will probably record it again as I have a house guest who never watches television! Imagine! :-D <3

Really enjoyed last nights episode.

Getting deeper into the problems with both families which
is comical at times, loved how the boys got on and how the
oldies were carrying on in their own sweet way, wonder if/
when it will all coming crashing down. :-)

Loving it. <3

My OH and I are both widowed. When we first got together there was some opposition from certain members of his family, but happily all is good now, and we have a really great happy extended family. :-D

So you can personally appreciate the humour and problems Paula. Very good wasn't it? Not sure I like the husband, not the character, the person playing him. ('Sarah Lancaster's' Husband).

Yes indeed Ann, All of my family and our friends were fantastic and truly happy for us, and I agree that humour has helped, along with the fact I am a little tinker when I dig my heels in.

I agree about the 'husband' , I loved it when she gave him a smack.

Still enjoyed it last night but a bit disappointed with the violence, it seemed to take away from the gentle story. Seemed unnecessary to be so violent somehow but maybe that is just me. :-)

Same here Ann, thought it was ott but i suppose life
reflects this these days.

Loved how the oldies were eaves dropping listening
to the argument and like little children were laughing. :-)

I still enjoyed it last night. At least we didn't actually see (or hear) the violence.

A good story, well acted and some great scenery.

Will continue to watch (if I remember).

It's getting more complicated and sort of intewoven, all sorts of topics under one roof, single parenting, suicide, violence, two timing/affairs, separation, widowhood, family squabbles, lesbianism etc etc

Looking forward to the next episode already
