I have just come on to say what a nice thread this is. How dare you :-| :-| :-| :-P :-P :-P

And don't put your finger to your mouth and tell me to shush.

Can I compliment you on your eyes. Very beautiful and very nicely made up :-D ;-)

why would anyone start John? ...are you assuming any of us on here know what you mean? Any references to anything other than humour will be frowned upon.......take the chip off then join in.

Oh Susan you're not a Virgo are you? :-0 I have had terrible trouble with them , and Taureans of course and then there's the odd Aquarian that is especially 'analytical' when I want to be emotional...and Gemini well.... ;-)

Susan10146857 Report 25 Nov 2012 22:47

Sorry to disagree with you Mr D but the Irish sense of humour is even more uniquer than yours :-D :-D <3

I love British humour :-D However you are right MrDaff. Aussie humour is rather different. We tend to bring people down to size and will relentlessly tease anyone who puts on airs and graces.

I don't think the divide is regional, more personal. Expanding on that, it's probably also National - I don't think, having met and 'chatted' with a number of persons from 'overseas', that anyone else understands British humour other than ourselves! Who else can raise a laugh at the direst of times just to bring a smile to someone's face, or use the 'double entendre' with such finesse (often mistaken for sarcasm unfortunately), or make a play on words that would make Will S proud?
No, we are unique, our humour is unique and long may it be so!

But, you do come across the 'Sue's' every now and then....sigh :oD

Uzzi :-D :-

I think I rarely would fail to see that what was said was meant as a joke by most people who I have 'known' on here for several years. I think we get to recognise individual humour. It is more difficult when somebody is new to the boards. A lot of humour is tongue in cheek and sometimes gallows humour but zi hope people recognise my own sense of humour too.
I don't actually think the difference is between north south though, we'll not in the written word anyway.
