I have a query .
I printed off the 1871 census from Genes Reunited .I went onto FHS on line and checked the 1871 census on there looking for John derbyshire born 1849 .On my 1871 census of lancashire which I have it gives John derbyshire as being 32 .
On your census it says 22 years old .On the 1871 census on FHS online I can't find him at all .
Why all they all different
Regards
marlene

It's probably a simple mistranscription on one or the other, writing on census' can be very indistinct and it is the transcribers 'best guess' at what is written there.
