Oh dear Dutch,it is still not a good time for you when your worries go on and on. Sending hugs and positive thoughts your way. Keep your chin up,and remember to tell the doc's all of your ongoing symptoms so that you can have the investigations you need to get well soon.
Gxx

you said you have had anemia since the age of 17? i would have thought you would be on some sort of iron medication??? .if you have been anemic most of your life why dont you take medication.. maybe thats why your blood count is low, maybe you need iron tabs,it could be as simple as that, and also one of the side effects of anemia is memory loss.

Dutch.
I had a couple of internal bleeds 18 months ago. I had a colonoscopy & nothing was found apart from a small patch of diverticulitis.
Like you, I was anaemic after the blood loss. Has iron tablets for 3 months & so far, so good.
Try not to worry. It only makes things worse.

Hi Dutch,
I don't normally post, but thought of something that might make you smile. One time my OH had to have the two procedures done on the same day. I was with him in the doctors office for the discussion. My OH told the doc. that if he was going to use the same tube, would he please do the top first. The doctor grinned and said "I'M the doctor - I'LL decide!
I've had many colonoscopies, and I always ask to be allowed to stay awake - just enough med. to make me drowsy. It's very interesting to watch on the screen.
Stay busy - no sense worrying. Will keep you in my prayers.

dont worry about the procedure Dutch,as ive said my dad had that done six months ago,he has serious heart problems,a by-pass,angiplasty three times and two heart attacks(and he still went back to work) your degenerative disc problems are common and wont make the procedure any worse than it is for anyone else that goes through it. :-)

Hi Dutch, keep focused and think positively that the proceedures will help to get you sorted and you can then begin to feel a whole lot better. Gentle hugs. Gxx
