Lib dems will be annihilated, UKIP may do slightly better on the back of that but they will NOT form a coalition even if they come close enough to have that option, as they will be aware that getting it wrong like the lib dems will be political suicide for the party.

JohnLovesHorlicks Report 30 Nov 2012 17:15

After last night's results in Rotherham and Middlesbrough, I can see a very different political landscape landscape in a couple of years time.

Wales and Scotland have their own different political systems, but England may be very different.

Labour came first, UKIP came second last night. I can see those two parties being the major parties next time. That will be the choice for voters with the Tories being squeezed into third and the Libs frankly being nowhere.

Labour will win convincingly in the popular vote. But probably UKIP and the Tories combined will receive the majority of seats and form a coalition.

Farage will be PM and his deputy (Cameron will resign if Tories are third) will be Osborne. Fanciful? - what do you think might happen?
