Blue nun. Says it has an alcohol content but i dspute that.

Anyway, is non alcoholic wine not just grape juice? Get a bottle of ribena and put some in an old wine bottle then replace the cork. I think ive got some empties somewhere.......

Hi Julia,
I believe Tesco sell a non-alcoholic white wine called "Sorrelle"

I think I will stick to my "Wairau Cove Sauvignon blanc". It's a lovely New Zealand white wine but its 12.5% proof.

Yes, but its got no bacon or sausage in it :-)

What about something like Elderflower champagne? I admit a slight alcohol content, but no more than the vinegar you put on your chips :-)

Joking aside, even a small amount of alcohol can be a problem to somebody like my daughter in law and her sister who are both allergic to alcohol.

Also some who hate the taste of alcohol.

I am getting that way. Used to be an expert on malt whiskies (Longmorn Glenlivet was my favourite). Now I dislike all whisky and can just about manage a good quality chilled pear cider on a hot summer day.

So am watching this thread with interest, as I do like grapes and grape juice can be a bit boring. A dry white non-alcoholic wine would suit me and some of my friends very well this Christmas :-D

Strange you say that, Eldrick. We always source non-alcoholic wine for communion in churches I have been affiliated with during my life.

But during this week I took part in an ecumenical service and about 25 of us shared wine in one cup (very unhygienic) that was alcoholic. I didn't like it and sipped very sparingly. The service (Church in Wales, Roman Catholic, Baptist, URC, Methodist, Pentecostals) was really very inspiring - even you would have got something from it :-D ;-)

Somehow I doubt it. Sipping wine sparingly isnt my bag. Drink it and be damned is what I say. Especially if you can have a nice cuban cigar with it. Having said that, drinking free wine is always a bonus and its the main reason I go to midnight mass after closing time on xmas eve. Must admit the getting up after kneeling and the struggle when the shaman or whatever they are called tries to take the chalice away from me can turn a bit undignified, but what the heck, it comes but once a year.

I think I need a large tumbler, no less, of the real stuff, to get over the shock.
I actually have posts on a thread of mine own, from no less a person than our very own Eldrick. This is indeed, a veritable first.
I just knew that if I tried long enough and hard enough, I would find a subject that would warrent such a kind deed.
You are a gent sir. A real gent. Gawd Bless yer 'art.
