Hi Sylvia, not sure what episode you got up to, and there were so many under suspicion for the girls murder, I doubt I could fill you in on it all, so just found that you can watch the series online, which will be a whole lot better than me explaining it to you :-D

If you enjoyed the killing, and you've not watched Borgen, then you really ought to, it's so good :-D

I did start watching the Killing and it was excellent .. because it was only on once a week I kept forgetting about it and never did find out who killed the girl ... can someone PM me and tell me so as not to spoil for others that have not seen it .

For those interested.......

Borgen started a new series last night on BBC4, starts at 9, next episode at 10.

If you missed it, it's repeated again 0n BBC 4 Tuesday at 11.00 p.m second episode straight after.

This series looks as good, if not better than the last, great political intrigue.

Will have a look at Spirals Rollo, ta for that, by the way I like Downtown Abbey :-D

Recently we've also watched Romanzo Criminale, based on a real life gang in Italy in the 70's, bit bloodthirsty and sweary, but I can cope with that :-D

Know quite a lot of Italian swear words now, great asset, especially when driving in Italy ;-)

If you enjoyed "the Killing" then you can get a Lund jumper here
http://www.sarahlundsweater.com/
from which you may deduce that either Danish detectives economize on furniture (IKEA) in order to buy jumpers OR they are paid more than at 10 Broadway.

Channel 4 has a similar Paris based police detective series called "Spirals" (En grenages) which will be coming back for another season soon.

Those who like, say, Downton Abbey will most likely not enjoy these dramas.

Enjoying them all and tape them as I normally start to drop off at that time of night and miss bits of the plot :-D

We recorded 'The Bridge'.and really loved it, subtitles and all! so would like to see anything else of that ilk.

PP, Borgen and the Killing probably would not have appealed to me, but hubby had read reviews and said how good they looked, so gave them a go, I usually make my mind up in the first 5 minutes if I'm going to like something or not, and both had me hooked straight away. Borgen is my favourite of the two, it has many aspects to it, political and family life, think it's the best drama on TV this year.

I liked the Bridge also, but found it a bit dark. Inspector Montalbano, I watched a couple of episodes, but it didn't really grip me, but I adore Italy, so really enjoyed the scenery :-D

Neither of these appealed but loved The Bridge and really enjoy Inspector Montalbano

Latter not so thrilling but good nonetheless.

Hi Lily, Borgen isn't on at the moment, but think a new series is being aired in 2013. The Killing's been on for about 3 weeks on BBC4, last episode next week, but it's probably on catch up somewhere, maybe online even? If I see it anywhere will let you know :-)
