Oo er. How can they 'lose' the plot number??? Are there any receipts still lurking around in her home? |

No Det,she is the only one that does not have a headstone,so my sister and i bought a nice pot with her details on,we have an idea where abouts she was buried, but wanted plot number to make sure we put it in the right place. |

Tricky one, is there anyone who might have been at her funeral? |

That is a tricky one - was this a church burial or cemetery ? |

It is a cemetery,my mother told me where she was,and it would have been her that did the arrangments as it was her mil,i told them the exact date and where in the cemetery she should be,but nothing ,i have asked 2 that attended the funeral and they told me the same place,it has not been altered in anyway just a large patch where there are no headstones. As we visit mums dads and other g/parents with flowers we decided to buy the pot and then we could also take flowers for her,she is the only one in the plot as she never married, they said i could go and look at the plans but if they can't find her how will i,but maybe i will go,it is council |

Sheila...It would seem having a look at the plans is your best option if your mother hasn't the details |

Please don't take offense at this but you say she never married |

No offence taken ,Lolly i have her death certificate so surely she would be buried in that name ? |

Don't know if this has been said and it's only a long shot, but maybe the undertakers might be able to help. |

Is it a Municipal cemetery? if so the local Council Parks & Cemetery's dept should be able to give you the grave details . Councils usually keep very good records. I was given the details for a public grave for 1907 by the local Council |

Sue i only live 2.5 miles from the cemetery, think i will go and look at the plans and asks if someone can go through them with me,so i can point out roughly where she should be. |
