in your life, yes i know we all have them. Things i wish i'd said, places i
should have visited etc.

Anything really life changing if you had the chance to do it all over again?
Or maybe something small that would have pleased someone or given
you that feel good factor.

Applying to train as a Librarian after A levels - books, research, Heaven!

The only other thing was living as a volunteer on a Kibbutz. That was probably more of a pipe-dream than anything else.

Over all, things have worked out reasonable well, so can't complain

Just one.

Dad in hosp aged 90.......

Hosp phoned about 4am ,said dad's breathing wasn't too good.
Hubby took the call.
I went to hosp early morning, but dad had already passed away.
I sat with him , holding his hand ,tears flowing .
I'll never know if he needed me there , not to be alone, or whether I could have coped with him slipping away in front of me ,because whilst nurses said it was peaceful...I'll never know.
In my heart I think ,it was peaceful for him , looking at his face it was my dad as I knew him , so loving and no pain etched on his face.

Could I have got there earlier ? Should I have ?
I still question myself.

He is still in my thoughts everyday ..never to be forgotten. He was a gem.

One massive one, meeting a surgeon who was a butcher and still suffering from what he did 5 years later.

The effects:

Loss of a very god job
Not having been able to push grandson in pram
Not being able to travel
Weight gain through inactivity
Feeling I am spoiling family get togethers because I can't take part in the silliness
Not being able to enjoy walks with my hubby
My huby having to do so much for me personal care wise

Apart from the above not a lot...lolol

Not any serious regrets no, though I might have/should have done a few things differently.

Det I'm sure it's not too late to be a Kibbutz volunteer, go for it, don't just leave it on your bucket list :-)
I did it in my twenties, and admit it was a fabulous, fun and educational experience.
