SueMaid Report 7 Dec 2012 21:34

Interested in what I say, Sue? I am of course disgusted and that was before the tragic news of the poor woman's death. It's not a radio station I listen to but I did hear part of the prank on the telly and we certainly didn't find it amusing. I do hope that it isn't being implied that all Aussies found this funny.

Very sad indeed, what some people regard as "A Prank,or Joke" can result in serious consequences for others.I hope they take heed of what they have caused to happen, and may the poor nurse rest in peace.**M**

Sorry if l have been so open in my thoughts, but just the fact that the 2 DJ's did what they did was shocking enough, not clever or funny. That poor woman. But by no means should we be saying there were other things going on, we don't know what happened or why!!

Thanks Allan

x

Edit: Read that Allan, it makes no mention of the public reaction and the radio stations reactions immediately after the hoax.

Saw a report from Sydney tonight which stated that the radio station was still promoting the hoax and although they apologised it was very half hearted, that is, until the suicide.

I am wondering what Joe Public were saying about it.

I'll be interested in what SueMaid says, she must, at least, know of that radio station if not heard it.

The above is a link (it may have to be cut and pasted) to the story in Australia

too much of this going on. Kyle Sandilands and others. Complete Pratts, all of them, and that's being polite

Porkie_Pie Report 7 Dec 2012 20:29

kay, She only put the call through,,,,,,,she was not the one that gave out any details?

She was a nurse not a switchboard operator and when such calls from relatives are put through by another nurse to the nurse looking after a patient the later would have expected the first nurse to qualify the callers ID before putting it through, So this lady would have thought it was her fault regardless

Muffy I haven´t really taken interest in it either but we are unusual imagine how she must have been hounded by the media !

Muffyxx Report 7 Dec 2012 18:50

In fairness Uzzi..I only heard her actual name today.........

UzziAndHerDogs

UzziAndHerDogs Report 7 Dec 2012 18:49

How horrifying for her to know what she did, but then to have it splashed on the internet and papers with nobody to saying sorry her, what the <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<++++ do people expect. She wasn´t a hardened newsperson she was just a hospital worker who was hounded for making a mistake

It is dreadful - wonder if the two Aussies will feel so chuffed now?

A family wrecked by the thoughtless behaviour of two irresponsable persons.

LollyWithSprinklez Report 7 Dec 2012 18:31

Agree Muffy I was surprised the poor woman was named so quickly by the police but her relatives had been informed and that is usually followed by the release of the name.

Can't help worrying though that she may have had relatives and friends further afield for whom this has come as a news report rather than personal notification

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 7 Dec 2012 18:17

Not just here Island.....all the media outlets are either hinting or blatantly suggesting it was a suicide. x

**edit** i suggest the media have been given their private briefings by their *sources*.......Personally I think it's a rum deal that her name has even made it into print at this stage x
