my grandaughter had a 6lb baby boy yesterday

so ours was very good <3 <3

Work all day yesterday and home all day today and I am over the moon with the footy result :-D :-D

Wow you can't get much better than that Joy, or should I say Great Nanny :-D

Footy results were good for me this weekend too Hayley, what a difference a week makes :-D

Am staying in a very good hotel in Edinburgh,eating far too much, but my feet are killing me

Great place to be Edinburgh at this time of year Linda, have you been to see the Royal Yacht there, we went a few years back, wouldn't mind a week on there :-D

I saw my kids and grand kids yesterday. Today been shopping as didnt have any food in at all.

No,I really wanted to go there, but we have my son and his girlfriend with us and they didn't want to go

I can't believe just how busy supermarkets are Hazel, I'm sure some people must shop 3/4 times before Christmas, because all the things they have brought early, they've eaten, and they have to start again :-D

Good OH has bought me a kindle so have been playing with it
Bad Minx had a fit today at the top of the steps only 13 days since her last 2. so have been watching her

Shopping and visiting yesterday and today looked after grandchildren for the afternoon.

Sorry to hear about Minx, one of my dogs had fits due to kidney problems but he was 16 yrs when they started so we knew he wouldn't get better. Not a pleasant thing to witness. :-(

Uzzi, hubby has a Kindle, our children brought it for him, at first he thought he wouldn't use it much, as he's a great lover of books, he always has 3 or 4 on the go at once, but he loves the kindle, he gets book for free, that he wouldn't usually buy, so now he has even more books on the go :-D

There's lots of shopping being done at the moment Ginnie, although when i was in London yesterday, it didn't feel that much busier than usual, because it's always busy anyway :-D

I have had a lovely weekend.
Yesterday I visited Dizzi, a good uneventful journey up there, the pleasure of hearing her voice again (even if it was only for a short time via a valve) & a good journey home under a clear, star speckled sky.
Today my family arrived early to help me with some jobs I can no longer do, whilst I cooked a Roast beef lunch & baked cakes for tea.
Since they left I have had 2 long chats on the phone, written a few Christmas cards & am about to search my documents folder for the Victorian Christmas Cake recipe that was such a success last year with the family members that do not like rich dark fruit cakes.

Cheers Ginnie yes the fits are horrible to witness but she isn´t 8 yet so hopefully I am going to have to put up with them for a long while. If they get to often then she will have to go on treatment.

Lynda I already have 9055 books thanks to friends and neighbours with kindles so I am not going to have to buy another book for ages:-D

Oooh it's great to be back in a country where we have Christmas - yay!!!

Yesterday.
Went to a Christmas Market, couldn't partake of the mulled cider as I was driving
:-( but at least that meant I was sober to enjoy the local schools carol singing.
I bought a holly wreath at the market so took it up to put on my dad's grave, and driving through the lanes I narrowly missed a couple of nice looking pheasant as they ran in front of the car - I've never cooked pheasant, yet!!
Watched Downton Abbey 3 all evening (M-in-law gave me for birthday) - loved it, yay!!!

Today.
Did some uni work, then went out for a walk this afternoon before it got dark.
Back home now and wondering whether to start the ironing before or after tea, or wrap some presents.....faced with cutting edge decisions like that, it's no wonder I've plumped for playing on the lapdog instead :-D :-D

Yes people rushing around grabbing everything they can. Why dont i know its only one day and they filing the shevles all the time. I just do normal shop. And no one said thank you when leting them pass. I make a piont of saying out loud thank you as they go pass me. And its young and old that dont say it.
