Is there a way to find census for 1921, 1931, etc.?

im affraid not, they are covered by the 100 years law. im afrraid you will have to wait till 2021 then 2031 ect

The 1921 census will be released in 2022.

The 1931 census was destroyed so will never be available.

I am interested in you saying the Archive people may take a look.

I am determined to live long enough to see the 1921 census to hopefully find who my mum was given away to from being born 1912 in a workhouse.

Then I can pop off knowing my search is done :-D :-D :-D

Joy, I am also interested in your mention of people at the archive department looking for you :-) Do you mean they looked up the 1921 Census?
Was this at a County Records Office, National Statistics office, local library or where?
I am very interested to know.....I am desperate for one piece of info and have been for 30 years!!!

I always thought you could have these censi opened if you paid quite a lot of money and could explain why you needed info so desperately. But cannot find any reference to that.

And I have often wondered why heir hunters have not invested in having these later (within 100 years) censi opened. But, if ever allowed, it must have been stopped.

think you find the plural of census is censuses - censi is Latin and rather pedantic

The Census for 1931 taken in Scotland was NOT destroyed.
