Well, the clock in our bedroom has developed a funny turn, the display is flashing and no matter what we do it won't stop.
We were going into town to sort ot OH mobile phone and expecting a carer to come to look after my brother-in-law (Downs) but the agency had missed the booking so we ended up meeting the carer in town and handing him over.
But we think we go a solution to the phone problem.
Had a brunch : I went for 2 bacon; sausage; 2 black pudding; beans; toast; and coffee. Probably not very healthy but I don't make a habit of it.
OH went to the hospital to be a guinea pig for trainee chest doctors but none of the doctors turned up ! At least she got fifteen quid for her trouble !!
Collected some antibiotics for my daughter's tooth problem then collected her from work.
And on the plus side Shadow the Labrador seems to be getting over her bout of diahorrea with the aid of diet food and some medicine we got from the vet on Saturday. She's around 12 3/4 and generally doing very well, but any upset at that age is worrying.
And our first anonymous christmas card has just been delivered !

Just about to have a glass of wine - that'll make me smile.

Karen, doing some research three or four years ago I discovered that some of my family came from Fressingfield, although not quite my direct line. However a contact is Canada was a direct descendant so I spent a day around the area taking photos etc. to send her.

SuffolkVera Report 10 Dec 2012 15:51

I'm still smiling :-D. Toys R Us gave me my money back without a quibble AND we've been taking the cat to the vet weekly for an eye problem; today the vet said not to take her for another month and no more medicine, just eye ointment now. So a bit more money in our pocket. AND OH has just offered to cook tonight's meal. :-D :-D

Karen, I won't say exactly where I live because the place is so small no-one has ever heard of it, and it would be like giving out my full address on here. It would be too easy to trace Vera at this place. However, we are about 7 miles from Sudbury for banks, library, supermarket etc. and about 15 from Ipswich for department stores and so on. I'm glad you enjoyed your week in Suffolk - whereabouts were you?

Just trying to persuade my OH to take me shopping to spend more money on presents for the children and grandchildren, he keeps protesting what's wrong with a fiver each.

Snap Karen! Second load of washing nearly finished, just going to have a coffee and window cleaner has been, wearing a very unflattering bobble hat which made me smile.

This afternoon I am driving 15 miles to Toys R Us to try to get my money back or at least a credit note for a toy that I bought for a granddaughter which we are not happy with. That might wipe the smile off my face.

EDIT: Should have read this through before submitting it - it makes it sound as if I am not happy about my granddaughter. She is wonderful, it's the toy that's useless!

I'm happy and smiling :-D :-D :-D
It's a beautiful crisp sunny morning, blue skies & light breeze and I'm about to put my second load of washing out on the line - yay!! :-D Just having a coffee and a quick look in on here while I wait for machine to finish.

Window cleaner was here at 8 - he made me smile, he looked like a yetty with so many clothes on :-D I expect he'll warm up once he gets onto his 5th house!!

If Syliva Sue Z is feeling better I shall be meeting up with her on Wednesday :-D
