Have you noticed how Christmas trees in US films are always really big and bushy?

I am a sucker for all the schmaltzy Christmas films so have been watching them the last few weeks on tv ( some of them are truly awful in terms of plot) ...is it the climate, or a particular type of tree?

Wait till you see the tree in "It's a Wonderful Life" then Rose!!!!! :-|

:-D PH I keep seeing copies of it wherever I go lately, I shall look for the best price and see if I can afford it when I've finished shopping

...ooh now that's a thought, my brother's got a copy I know, he might be able to lend it to me if he gets over to see us at Christmas :-D

Rose I love the christmas films on tv at the moment and yes the trees are always big and well decorated with lights etc. Most of the houses are decorated as well.

I love that film and watch it every xmas. Will have to buy it it in dvd as I only have it on cassette. That bugs me.

I also think the trees are way bigger than we could fit in most of our rooms

OH put our tree up yesterday and today the flipping lights broke. he is going to B&Q
first thing tomorrow as our gt grandson is coming and we gotta have lights

I suppose what I really want is a house big enough to take one of those trees :-D that was a little pet dream of mine at one time , to have a small country hotel with a massive hall, with the obligatory sweeping staircase, where you could fit a twenty foot high tree and still have room for carol singers to welcome the guests ;-)

Maybe we all dream of that Rose, but I'm very happy ( and consider myself lucky) to have a seven footer and still be able to climb up steps to decorate it :-S :-D

Merlin, I haven't room in the garden for another, but I did manage to get the two that my friend bought for me planted out before the frost , so hope they will do well :-)

mines nearly 8 foot high and sticks out nearl 6 feet from the wall

I dont have a real one because of the cat getting bits in her paws,,,,,but do have a real one in the garden,,,,,,its over 8 feet tall now, it was the last real one I had in the house,,,,,,they are hard to find with roots on,
