Spent €11.20 yesterday sending 14 cards to England from Spain.
The cards cost me €8 for 20 & I thought that was a bit much, but they were charity cards, so hopefully a few centimos will find their way into the charity coffers.

OK prices have gone up but could you deliver a card say from Southampton to Edinburgh for the price of a stamp. I think not.

Paula..

I haven't sent ANY ........I'm feeling very guilty :-S

Most will have hand delivered the rest will have E-Mails & Phone calls.

There are TWO that I might send..... as they are new widows this year and couldn't bear to see them without a card from me at Christmas .

All because Royal mail has got TOO GREEDY !!

The ones I have received so far will go UP again Next year as they may never send to me again .. ;-)

I'm not really that sort of person to be mean ,as I have loads of Cards I buy in the sales every year ......its just the STAMPS !!!!!!!!

For normal second class I was ok this year as I bought so many books a month up until April when they went up and have had enough to last all year at the old price including all my Christmas cards (almost 100).
Next year will be a different story.

I've cut right back on sending cards through the post. Too expensive. :-|

Stamps, I have just been to post my Christmas cards second class postage has actually cost me more than I paid for the cards. It was 75p to send one to my Aunt ; it was slightly larger than A5 but a lot smaller than A4 and should therefore have got there for 46p. Royal Mail is stupid; It cannot cope with things other than "regulation sizes" as it set its own regulation.

So long as Post Office Counters do not close, Royal Mail signed its own death warrant with the "standard size" mullarkey.

I hand deliver as many as possible, however not all are within walking distance but with the price of petrol this is now becoming another expense :-|
