Who's watching?

Did you see last nights episode at where they were at Heston Blumenthal's restaurant The Fat Duck?

I thought I'd see how much a meal is there, thinking it would be a good present for my son, he enjoys cooking, and has been to sample the menus at Jamie Olivers, Gary Rhodes, Gordon Ramsey's and a few others.

You need to allow 3 and a half hours for the menu, and the cost is.....

£195 PER PERSON :-0

I must say the food that the chefs did last night were amazing, but I'm not sure they'd fill you up.

Here's the menu ...

NITRO POACHED APERITIFS
Vodka and Lime Sour, Gin and Tonic, Campari Soda

RED CABBAGE GAZPACHO
Pommery Grain Mustard Ice Cream

JELLY OF QUAIL, CRAYFISH CREAM
Chicken Liver Parfait, Oak Moss and Truffle Toast

SNAIL PORRIDGE
Iberico Bellota Ham, Shaved Fennel

ROAST FOIE GRAS
Barberry, Braised Kombu and Crab Biscuit

MAD HATTER'S TEA PARTY (c.1850)
Mock Turtle Soup, Pocket Watch and Toast Sandwich

"SOUND OF THE SEA"

SALMON POACHED IN A LIQUORICE GEL
Artichokes, Vanilla Mayonnaise and Golden Trout Roe

SADDLE OF VENISON
Beetroot Soubise, Risotto of Spelt and Umbles

HOT AND ICED TEA

BOTRYTIS CINEREA

THE "BFG"
Black Forest Gateau

WHISK(E)Y WINE GUMS

"LIKE A KID IN A SWEET SHOP"

Menu Price is £195 per person. An optional 12.5% service charge will be added to your bill. The menu can be adapted for most dietary requirements, please notify the reservations department.

By the way, who do you think will win tonight? I'm hoping it's Oli, because I think he has so much more to give, but Anton or Keri, would be worthy winners too.

Poor Oli, putting his pudding dish in the fridge instead of the blaster, what a shame, although I didn't think his other dishes was as good as Anton or Keris' .

Before the winner was chosen I said to hubby I thought they would both win, thought them hard to separate. They must be thrilled, both were so passionate. I wouldn't be surprised if Oli joined Michel Roux at his restaurant, hope so, then they would all be winners :-D
