Oh, Dizzi, I find this really disgusting Surely your gp surgery can find an 'opening' for you before the 27th?You are a 'priority' case, so shouldn't have to wait so long? I have no idea how it is in the UK, to be honest, but this would not be the case over here.(Holland) I sincerely hope you are seen MUCH sooner, bless you!!!

The Practice Manager should put you in as a priority Dizzi, after all you have just been through. It's less hassle you need not more. xx

Dizzi,,ring your doctors tomorrow and ask for an "EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT""

Most surgeries keep a couple of appointments free every day for just Emergencies..
They are obliged to let you see a doctor that day especially as you have just come out of hospital from having Pneumonia and being in intensive care.

Good to see you back, Dizzi. :-D

I'd phone the surgery back and ask to speak to the doctor (he/she can phone back after surgery.)

I know for a fact that my doctor keeps appointment times free, that only he can book.

You need a family member pr friend to speak to the Practice Manager on your behald as well Gwen, so they can spell out what will happen if they don't see you quickly as required.

Best of luck, hon, don't let the beggars get you down

How are you feeling today, Dizzi? :-D

Seems like the first day since you went into hospital that you have not been top of the threads. But I still thought of you first when I came in after my South Wales soaking today :-D

I hope you are feeling a little better each day Dizzi. I can't believe your doctor couldn't see you before 27th! How can that be an emergency appointment?

I telephoned our surgery at 8.30 this morning to request an appointment before Christmas and was given one for 11.20 am today. Admitted that was with a doctor other than the one I usually see but even to see my usual one I would only have had to wait 24 hours. Makes me realise how lucky I am with my gp practice.

Keeping my fingers (and everything else) crossed for you and really hope you get sorted soon.

Hello Dizzi, hope you are managing to rest and take things slowly now that you are back home with your family. I really hope that you will improve and feel a little better and stronger every day.
