Xmas Eve -
1. dispose of single socks in sock drawer.
2. Hide favourite jumpers by placing in attic.
3. Remove all ties from tie-rack and place in sealed box.
4. Stock up on batteries.

Xmas Day -
At time dictated by rising of the sun...
1. Re-stock sock draw with new incumbents.
2. Place new Xmas jumpers on hangers (waiting to be replaced those now in attic).
3. Hang new tie in place of honour, adjacent to nearest hand-towel.....
4. Insert batteries into another nasal hair trimmer.
5. Smile benignly.
6. Feed cats, and place elastoplast on scratch marks (coz u were too slow in the first place....)

We have always opened our presents after breakfast and our children have followed our tradition. When we used to go to our daughters when the grandsons were young, we used to take turns, now we all open our presents together. We do also have a small present on the tree from each of us. These we open Christmas evening, a tradition carried over from my parents.

When we were all under one roof it was after Breakfast had been eaten & cleared away, now it is once we are all gathered together.

This year will be different because we are the ones going to our son's house on Christmas Day & then the Full Family will coming to us on Boxing Day. So 2 lots of pressie opening :-D

The children open their presents first and then us adults as we tend to have less to open.At one time their would be 12 people opening presents so it would take all morning less of us now so gets done quicker but it is still chaos in my house christmas day.

But I love it :-D :-D :-D

If no one is coming for lunch, then in the morning. Otherwise it's after lunch.

and a post on there, when do you and the family open your main Christmas presents. And do you have them all at once? Talking mainly of the adults as I am assuming that children still have their stockings in bed?
