Dizzi, if you are looking in, please realise that you are worrying all your friends on GR. Do as you are told, if you dont want us all worried sick. Tell yourself you can get better, but it is going to take time so you must not rush it. You CAN do it.

Love from Huia in Kiwiland. <3 <3 <3

Hope today will bring better news and you are continuing to get better, Dizzi.

And lovely to see those comforting words from Kiwiland. You are both people who are very inspirational to me and, I am sure, many others who look in.

Keep battling. Dizzi. All rooting for you :-D :-D

Glad people have been in touch with Dizzi. What a worry :-(

Dizzi, no doubt you are in denial as to how ill you really were, that's normal BUT you will get better slowly and that means not trying to rush it.

Yes, it's frustrating but please let people help and as others have said you are entitled to a home care package, you are not Superwoman.

Lots of good suggestiions from your friends on here, please take note

;-)

Love from me and him

Please don't push yourself.

A work colleague had Pneumonia earlier this year - trakie, ICU, HDU etc etc.

Like you, she has underlying health problems, and it took her a good 8 weeks to feel 'normal'. These things take time and you do need to conserve your strength for what ever else life throws/has thrown at you.

Can't give any more advice than others ...sure things will improve...the nights will be getting lighter now and that doesn't happen all a once...so slowly but surely is the key word...
Thinking of you.

Dizzi, don't worry about the things that you can't do (at the moment). Most of them are probably not essential.
Concentrate on yourself.
If you can manage to sit out of bed, award yourself a star!

If you manage to comb your hair, do your teeth, wash, etc award yourself a star for each of them.

If you manage to talk to someone and smile you deserve a double star.

Eating and drinking are also star worthy.

(Almost) anything else can wait, or someone else can do it!

You must look at all these things as massive achievments.
They really are things to be proud of at the moment.

I am sorry that this is such a scary time for you too.
Will be keeping fingers (and other things) crossed that you have your good news very soon.

Take care, take it easy and let other people make themselves useful. (I'm sure that they would love to help you.)

Love and Hugs Tess

IZZI WIZZI lets get BIZZI and get our DIZZI well:))))

Dizzi...behave yourself and do as you are told!!

Sit and read the books you like, watch the telly, think about what you want to do when better, splash some paint on a canvas.....but take it easy...one day at a time:))

Dizzi, I can only echo what everyone else has said. It's normal to feel exhausted, and scared, after the illness you have had. Just give yourself time and take it very easy. You WILL get better, one step at a time. All your friends on here are rooting for you.

Keeping you in my thoughts,
Vera

What Tess says makes a lot of sense. Please follow her advice and try take one step at a time to recovery Dizzi. Having had pneumonia several times, I know how debilitating it can be afterward, depression can set in, as it often does after a bout of flu, the rather trite saying,'Rome wasn't built in a day', is apt here, but you will gradually get better & stronger, it just takes time. We are all wishing you to get back to your old self a.s.a.p, but, also want you to take things at a slower pace and recover really well.
Am thinking of you, and so is everyone else here in GR, so take heart, you will get there eventually.
