I've just spoken to her too - her OH is there. She's been having panic attacks, but says she's OK now. A neighbour, who I think she said is a nurse, has been in to see her.

I've just tried to ring again and it's engaged. Hopefully another member is speaking to her. I've got her address written down somewhere - I'll try and find it.

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 22 Dec 2012 18:00

to be honest I find the opening post extremely worrying - wish someone would come up with an idea of what to do - I feel useless just sitting here wondering - we have to do something positive

does anyone on here have her address?

Claddagh

Claddagh Report 22 Dec 2012 17:57

This is very disturbing.Dizzy, you have been through a very bad period, so need the time to recouperate properly. Do you have anyone near you to help you out with everyday things?
I kow how vuerable I felt after open heart surgery, coming home 9 days later, with no advice..PLEASE don't be too proud to ask for help!!.

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 22 Dec 2012 17:54

if we know the area where she is would it be possible to ring some local service to pop round and check on her? it's all a bit worrying and too far for me to travel - the local police station might be good :-S

or, anyone know which hospital she was treated in? then we could ring there

And I'm not being patronising when I suggest this, if you are weak and shaky when lifting a cup of tea, get someone to pick up a child's feeding cup, you know the one with the lid and drinking 'spout'...my mum used one for a bit, it takes away the risk of scalding yourself. ( make sure it's a secure lid, and the tea's not too hot).
