l meant to add this earlier...

Jean is going into hospital again very soon, possibly before Christmas. She is'nt at all well and needs care now.
ASAP after Christmas her and her OH will be going into a nursing home, the doctor suggested this last week. They are really both relieved to know this will happen.
Both have had so many things wrong with them, l don't know how they have coped and now Jean has heart failure and Phil can't cope much longer with the pain he is in.
Such a lovely, lovely couple, she abit like a mum to me!! x

Unfortunately l have'nt been able to see them for about 10 days as l have been down a cold/cough and toothache and certainly did'nt want to pass the cold on. If l can't see them tomorrow, which is doubtful, then l will get to them Wednesday or Thursday.

Any messages l will pass on to them.

Positive thoughts for Jean that she feels better soon.

l must add that we spoke on the phone today and she chatted for 40 minutes:))))))

Sending love and best wishes to Jean and Phil, hopefully having the carehome plan in place will ease the worry for them both, not everyones choice but my mom was very well looked after in the carehome she was in.

Just spoken to Jean, she was waiting for the doc to call, they may be able to get into hospital today.

She's had 30 cards, she's so chuffed and all really chuffed with all your messages on here.

The general boards are important to Jean and loves joining in, but unable to even think of the computer at the moment.

Thanks everyone:)

HAVE A FAB CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR

Not sure how I missed this before, but sad to hear Jean is in hospital and things are so difficult for her and Phil. Not the best Christmas for them but I hope the nursing home arrangements work out well and they are more comfortable there with less to worry about, and company around when they feel up to it.

All good wishes to them both and thanks Jude for the update.

A quick update of Auntie Jean.....

Jean got back home on Monday afternoon. Vic called in to deliver some bits and there she was in the lounge:).....
..........BUT when l phoned Phil this morning she had just gone back to hospital, the d/nurse had given her the wrong insulin and far too much!!!!!!! As you can imagine he was quite upset.
But...she's home again now, l spoke with her about half hr ago:)...phewwww.

Take care
