Beth seems to be a lovely young woman. She stayed so calm when criticised by that Jason too.

I reckon that it must have been quite close, 'cos as you say, the actor was an excellent skater.

I think it was the popular vote, as the bloke from Eastenders (can't remember his name) was a superb skater, but the public love Beth.

He could do a toothpaste add with that smile. I never used to like him much years back but he does try and he has improved. To be fair Jo had improved. Samia looks lovely when being manhandled by her partner, and he is very talented but she is all about ballet type postures, lovely figure, lovely arm movements and makes it look romantic but she can't skate well enough.

A lot of people do watch corrie and I guess they are the ones voting Tess. :-)

The judges marked Samia higher than Keith. So perhaps down to them that he was in the skate off and not her.

I don't watch Corrie, so didn't know about her bbefore now.

I had seen Keith C. many times on tv in the dim and distant past and frankly didn't take to him.

However, he has won me round with his attitude, determination and hard work.

As it is a public vote and as Samia is in Corrie and very likeable, people will vote for her which is what keeps her in. She has no confidence though which is why she doesn't skate on her own much. Beth is much more confident and a stronger contestant. Gareth too is good. Joe was entertaining but he needed to go.

Did Jason and Ashley watch the same show that I did.

Could not believe the marks they gave for Beth and Dan.

Garth and Beth gave the best performances.

When is Samia going to skate more on her own as she was not better than Keith and he ended up in the bottom two.

So right result tonight with Joe finally going as I was getting fed up with his "jokes"

Same old thing of people voting for the ones they like rather than the ones most proficient. Samoa is on Corrie and Joe makes people laugh.

Yes, I agree it should have been Joe and Samia in the skate off.

Rose, I never vote and don't usually have a particular favourite until the last 2/3 shows when I find myself leaning towards one of the skaters more than the other's. I do agree with you that people assumed they were safe though. This was Shane's best week too.

I thought that Keith skated better than Shayne.

Love the combination of Beth and Dan.

Not sure why the production team thought that Ashley would be a suitable judge.

I missed most of it unfortunately but I saw Karen, what on earth have they brought her back for, she does not do anything to promote the show. Jason has always been outspoken but underneath his comments are helpful suggestions which is what a judge is there for. Who was that other female, she was so loud that I turned the sound off.
Will watch the program later on this week to see the contestants but won't bother watching the judges.-jl

I felt Karen overmarked slightly too, except maybe with the exception of Beth. Jason didn't surprise me in the slightest, he's always marked lower than the other judges on most occasions.

I enjoyed the show last night. The standard of skating was higher this year and I think they all did well. It'll be interesting to see how next week compares to this week.

I though Beth was excellent although I do think Jason had a point when he talked about the performance but, as Robin said, that will come in time. Matt Lapinskas put on a great performance too.

I do think that Karen made herself look bad. Maybe she is smarting because they brought back Jason because the viewing figures fell drastically after he left.

In a TV mag he said he was prepared to put it behind him but it takes two to rebuild a relationship. Maybe she feels untouchable as she is 'in a relationship' with Christopher Dean. I can't say I like her very much. Jason does give good advice which is what he is there for. Karen seemed to be over marking to me.
