I think if you add raw cut up potato and cook again for a while it takes the heat out....wait a minute I think that may be too much salt!!! |

PH I love Tindaloo as well. I have to have it delivered. When I went to the restaurant (a huge restaurant in an old chapel in Pontypandy), the Manager/Chef came over and told me off for ordering it. He said it was an insult to his skills and no way could I taste the food. He honestly said that to me. I gave in and had what he suggested, which was very nice but all creamy and coconutty. And I really couldn't taste the food much. |

do you really expect us to believe that the man who cooked the food would tell you "it was an insult to his skills and no way could you tste the food" if you ordered it? |

AnnC Don't care whether you believe me or not, Ann. It happened. Quite funny really. Restaurant (just voted best Indian restaurant in South Wales) had just opened. Waiter came over and took our order - saag aloo for son, kurma for OH, tindaloo for me. 2 minutes later chef/manager came over, welcomed us, checked what I had ordered and politely told me I should not order it and made some suggestions of meals I would enjoy more. |

Depends on how it was order dont you think Ann :-S if youhave some gobby English bloke demanding the hottest curry the Chef can muster just to show off ! Then the Chef would either make it whilst snorting as he would know the said gobby englishman would have the golloping whatsits the morning after, and may not be good for business or simply advise him that maybe he would like to try something that his tastebuds could cope with ;-) |
