We have a clock/radio alarm in the bedroom but only use the clock.
After a power cut a couple of months ago the clock strted flashing, although it shows the time OK, and whater I do I can't stop it.
Damned anoying to OH. She now wants a new clock !

Another power cut this morning and the clock's now showing 06.35, not 14.55, so will have to reset again.
Plus had to restore the computer.

Good one Paula....
Suzanne...that reminds me of when we had an earthquake...yes here in N Wales in mid 80s and at 8 30 am the wardrobe unit that was attached to the wall with brackets shook for about a minute...scary!

In the early hours of the morning..about 4.20am.I was awakened.
I have by my bed a clock radio never used the radio bit for years, but like the clock as I can see it in the dark without putting light on.
What wakened me?....Abba singing Dancing Queen.....You can imagine a bit disorientated...wondered where I was.Got up ,couldn't find switch,so tried to get to plug socket which was just behind bedside cabinet, managed to unplug, but couldn't get back to sleep
Rang a friend who I was taking to a carers lunch and she had,not the radio, but her clock flashing so must have been a surge.
Need a bit more sleep tonight!...glad it wasn't angels singing ! :-)
