Although many plumbers are loath to admit it a huge change is going on with plumbing. The change is a shift away from copper to plastics. Far less likely to leak, quiet, push fit, much lower maintenance costs ( which is why buy to let and housing associations are leading the charge ) ... |

Plumbing is not so very difficult and the tools required do not cost a lot. Neither do the parts. 90% of the typical repairs can easily be done without forking out large sums to plumbers. It always helps of course if you know where the stop cock is. |

....just had the plumber in (friend fortunately)....we had a leak during the week after christmas, which only showed up because we had at least 9 people using the loo. Carpet got very wet outside loo door:( |
