*$parkling $andie* Report 11 Mar 2013 18:55

Some one must be looking down on us here ,cos we usually get it by the shed loads .

A lot of heavy flurries, but when it stopped it looked like icing sugar .

Dau said it was minus 5 in the car at 6pm ,
...I thought it was a bit cold when I put the veggie stuff in the recycling bin ;-)
Think hubby had better close the kitchen window. !! ...Soon :-P

supercrutch Report 11 Mar 2013 18:01

lol you daft bat :-P I am working on Daff's tree and it's fascinating, I had to draw the blinds because I couldn't see my screen because of the sun :-D

AnnCardiff Report 11 Mar 2013 17:46

and may I say how lovely you look Sue, all bathed in sunlight like that :-D :-D

snowed on and off all day - nothng to talk of tho!

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 11 Mar 2013 17:01

NW Kent - there isn't much snow, more like a spinkling of icing sugar. Its been falling on and off for most of the day

The wind cuts through you and whips the snow (both that which is falling and laying) into blizzard like conditons. Brrr. The hair cut can wait!

supercrutch Report 11 Mar 2013 16:29

Snowing on and off all day in the Valleys, really strange weather.

One moment bright blue sky and then I can watch the band of snow move into the valley and it flurries, then moves on out of the Valley and back to sunshine.

Had a 20 minute flurry 30 minutes ago and some snow settled now I am bathed in bright sunlight again.

We are on Red alert down here in Sussex, they seem to think it will be around for the rest of the week. I have to go out to get repeat prescription's, think I should go now whilst the roads are still clear :-(

Libby Report 11 Mar 2013 09:13

No sign of snow here in North Wales. It is very bright and sunny BUT the wind is like an arctic blast. Just got home after taking G daughter to school and to say my face is tingling is an understatement

Fiona Report 11 Mar 2013 08:52

It's been snowing all night here in Hamilton, Lanarkshire. woke up to a winter wonderland

JustJohn Report 11 Mar 2013 08:05

Thought we were through winter. Little chance of snow in S Wales this week, but likely we will have some next Monday (18th March).

And 4" forecast TODAY and tomorrow in Kent, Sussex and S Hants with temps dropping to minus 7C

And possibly going to be the coldest Easter on record.

And Cheltenham Festival may be at risk next week!!!

So get the sleds and thermals out for a cold 3 weeks :-( :-(

S.E Wales after an inch of snow at lunchtime , it's foggy and drizzling.
No snow on side roads. Still visible on pavements.
$parkling $andie reporting from the Heads of the Valleys. :-)

Island Report 13 Feb 2013 18:02

I hope we won't be seeing you on 'Helicopter Rescue' Julia!

The forecast here keeps changing like.....ummm.......the weather! LOL

From no snow to heavy snow to sleet. I hope not :-(

Julia Report 13 Feb 2013 17:45

We've had it again here in Derbyshire for the fourth time. Very settled at the moment, but weather reporter says it is going to rain and wash it all away. Not been able to get me legs warm all day. The road to St. Elsewhere is blocked, both ways, so hope I don't need to go there tonight. LOLOL
The second day of the Royal Shrove Tide Football game, went ahead, despite the weather. They must be made of stern stuff up there.

Brenda, As you know I used to live not far from Old Colwyn in 1970's and I used to travel that old A55 every day. It used to be 2C difference once you climbed up to top of Rhuallt. And a further 2C when you climbed from Holywell up towards Milwr and Pentre Halkyn.

Often I had a jumper on in Pentre Halkyn and shivering and was as warm as toast when I got out in Colwyn Bay area 20 minutes to west:-D

Similar down here between Vale and Head of Valleys :-)

Ann with stars....this little part between Conwy and say,Prestatyn seem to be different..
I used to live half a mile up from Prestatyn and it was a different world...come down towards Colwyn Bay and you wouldn't think it was the same area!
I used to work in sales and my boss lived in Rhuddlan and would ask me to go and work somewhere..don't think he believed me when I said I couldn't get out of my drive!
It is drizzling at the moment...roll on Spring!

Jeniwren Report 13 Feb 2013 09:50

We have snow here this morning, and it is sticking, just been to put some more food out for the birds,
Think I will stay indoors for the rest of the day.
Take care, stay safe and stay warm.
Jean xx :-) :-) :-)
