Just went out to get something from my chest freezer in the garage & its snowing hard again here in East Sussex.

I did go out to get dog food earlier & the roads were totally dry & snow free.

Chucking it down her now and supposed to be all night and tomorrow am.
Covering up my nice clean paths.

Amber weather alert here in South East Wales for possibly heavy snowfall this evening, overnight and Wednesday morning.

Managed to get out this morning to my carers meeting and do some shopping.
Had to get snow and ice off car first and had a little snow flurry,but has been cold but sunny and no snow at all down on coast rd.
Very lucky here....up to now!

OK I'll stop gloating now as in the last hour the sky has changed and it's trying to do something, sleety rain.

We went to town and saw plenty of cars covered in snow, more than liklely from Crymych where if it is going to snow they get it worst. Loads of disabled parking spaces so the weather must be keeping the old dears at home. Makes a bloomin' change that we could park in one.

OH is just getting ready to go running (nutter).

I am just so fed up we can't get to the house :-(

Thanks Sandie - They are iced up at the moment but will check back. I am over the border in Herefordshire. Tomorrow morning might be interesting.

Also been looking at the Fife camera's as sister in law is building a house there at the moment and living in a caravan!!! Rather her than me in this weather.

well it started here around 3:00 am for about and hour - then stopped

I'm due at the hairdressers in Taffs Well this afternon - son lives there and he phoned at 10:00 am and send cancel it, you wonlt get here - well I'm still hopeful

been snowing here now for just over an hour - still have about four/five inches on top of my car, the road and pavements are still white - it ain't looking that good, but I'm intrepid and I'm sure I'll be able to get my hair cut :-D :-D :-D

No seriously ...we normally get heavier snow than down in the valleys nearer to Cardiff / Newport and we only had about 6 to 8 inches before. We've had another 6 inches overnight.:(

When I worked in Blackwood , .....South Wales .....( for those who don't know the area ) my bosses didn't believe me when I phoned , to say we had 2ft of snow and I was stuck, and that there was no movement on the main roads either, cos they only had rain in Blackwood ! A mere 15 miles south of us !

It was snowing heavily at 4am ,son says it was still coming down at 7.30am.
He normally leaves for work at 6.30am.

Gritters have been out now and traffic is moving on main road.
Where is the sun ?????

well here it is again :-S :-S

Another 3" early thismorning in Valleys, on top of remnants of the 12" we had last Friday morning. Again nothing moving. All schools appear to be closed. Looks like milder and rainier weather by weekend. None of those huge icicles hanging from rooves like we saw in Dec 2010 and main roads passable (apart from main mountain roads)

Son off on train tomorrow after lunch to attend a pop concert (Sylosis) in center of Bristol. Any updates from that side of Bridge very welcome.
