Read the Pillars of the Earth and found it really annoying. Lots of filler pages.

I remember at one point the son went into the cathedral and up to the bell tower, and it took about 10 pages of filler.

So this put me off the original series and therefore will not be watching this series.

Ken Follett is a great writer and I have enjoyed lots of his other works, but these 2 just got me very annoyed!!!

We are all of us in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars, Oscar Wilde New avatar, my dad age about 3/4 months, could have been worse, it could have been the awful nude on a rug!!

We watched it. Bit gory wasn't it. I wonder where the sets were made?

I certainly wouldn't have liked to live there in those days. No trial, just hang 'em

I watched it and thought it was pretty good,another episode same time next Saturday, will be watching it all being well. **M**.

OH listened to it from the next room and was put off by the amount of blood shed and violence.

From what I can recall from the book, there were more peaceful interludes than shown, but then they are not good visual events for TV!

Like the previous series, the voices seemed rather muffled even though the music was OK.

I'll stick with it next week, but if it carries on in the same vein, will give it a miss after that

Read the books and loved them.

You can say that again, last Saturday was so bad on TV we
ended up watching DVD's.
You expect that in the Summer as most folk are out and about
but Winter should be one of the best TV viewing times, imo.

Decent things to watch are a bit like number 9 buses. Nothing for ages, then 2 come along at once :-D
