The Lazy Boy has been a trade mark for years and it shows a man idly slumped in a chair . When my mother was alive she always associated the logo with my eldest brother who is over six foot and used to recline in the same manner when a young man. He is now well over seventy! -jl

It is Lady Boys - and probably to draw attention to product. Have heard this in advertising before and doubted my ears. I note a poem from Scotalnd that has been widely misheard as:

Ye Highlands and ye Lowlands,
Oh, where hae ye been?
They hae slain the Earl O' Moray,
And Lady Mondegreen.

The actual fourth line is "And laid him on the green".

These deliberate mistakes by advertisers are apparently called mondegreens ;-)

Lazee Boys - are a very popular make in the US. When you see someone in a reclining chair in any US tv show, it will invariably be a Lazee Boy.

I thought it was Lady Boys and that seemed unusual, but I just assumed it was an accepted part of this strange modern world I live in. :-)
