Sandie my pre-op for shoulder was longer but so organised I was well impressed. However during that one I was given pain killing injections too so that added some time.Plus that was moving from room to room and a longish discussion with surgeon.

Yesterday at Glangwili everything was done by one nurse apart from X rays and bloods. That meant I didn't leave her office until I toddled off for the last 2 things on the list then off out the exit PDQ! She did:

Weight *gulp*
Height
Urine
Heart Trace
Peak Flow
MRSA swabs
Checking lower limbs for tissue damage
All updating of notes, giving me a library of leaflets
Answering questions
Completing my drugs forms (I took in 8 prescription labels cut off the boxes) :-)
Chatting about my GPs, family and friends (very important)
Discussing the hospital reforms
Idiot patients (not by name)...lolol
She said time for your SATS and I waved 10 polished nails at her and said she'd be lucky!

That's all I can remember but it's useful if they have met you before a couple of times and can chat whilst 'doing'.

95 mins for the pre op was quite good !

A neighbour is going in on Monday for one in Abergavenny. I was there nearly all day for mine :-|

Whilst he's there I am dog walking , so I hope we don't have too much snow..we're going to get it , hope it doesn't spoil my Wellie toppers ;-) may have to take them off !

Pleased that everything went well at the pre-op and that you came away with a free gift.

Will crross my fingers that you get a date soon and that your op will be done shortly after that.

Will you be agle to wear earphones and listen to music during your op?

Have you thought about choice of music?

It says in the leaflets that the area they are operating on will be screened off. But I can watch the operation if I want to!!!!!! It's quite enough listening to the sawing, drilling and hammering, I think I'll stick with that

Hope you don't have to wait too long for a date (though if those doctors knew you were into satin pj's and black satin sheets you would jump the queue for sure!!). :-D :-D

All that malarkey, just for cosmetic surgery, hope it's worth it ;-)
