Hi Sue,

very glad things aren't as bad as you feared and also that you have such good news of the coming grandchild, I can imagine how excited you must feel. Little one sounds very laid back!

I hope you can stay free of water infections now, did you ask about taking cranberry extract tablets as they sometime help, lots better than the cranberry juice drink which is mostly water and very expensive.

well i had my camera in the bladder done,everything is fine ,if i get anymore water infection's i have to go on antibiotic's for 3 month's.

i have the scan picture of the baby,(with his/her leg up in the air & hand's behind the head,obviously the baby is very comfortable,
i am already being primed up for baby sitting ,

What wonderful news about the baby :-D I have one grandson and a grandaughter on the way. I can certainly remember how I felt when Elis was born.

hello everyone,
my daughter had her scan today,the baby is perfect this time,he/she laid with his/her hand's behind the head the whole time,they have given her the 2nd sept as a due date,
i cannot wait to see her she has got me a picture of the scan,needless to say i will be putting it in a frame,
all i need now is to get my op over with and get good result's back from it,
it is looking like this year may be a lot better than last year.

i am so excited about my first grandchild,i must try to contain it for a little longer.

So pleased to read the good news Sue and hope things go well for you now, and for your daughter too. I had to have the camera treatment when I had a kidney stone. Water infections are such a nuisance, I had several in the past but drink more liquid now so hopefully no more infections. They really knock me out when it happens.

My o.h's son and his wife are expecting their second baby on March 26th, a little brother for the 2 and a qtr year old girl, but I think they have made so much of the little girl they will have problems when the little brother comes along to put her nose out of joint. We see so little of them due to them living 45 miles away and there not being many weekends they are free for visits. My nephew and his partner are expecting a baby any time now but don't know if they will let me know when it arrives as they didn't let me know they were expecting, only that son bumped into his cousin that he found out.

Very good news.
Just shows if we have any health issues its best to sort them out to stop the worry.
It's exciting waiting for the scan....coming a bit thick and fast for me at the moment....just heard that Great grandchild no 6 is on the way!,!

You will have to treat yourself to something special (of your own choice) for being a good girl, after having the camara test of your bladder!

Pleased for you Sue, now you can look forward to birth of first grandchild.

I too will be a grandmother again in August, you will love it. Must admit having 4 already certainly takes things off my mind.

i went and saw the consultant this morning,he was very pleased with the way my kidney is functioning,i had some abdominal xray's done and i have got to have a camera put in my bladder due to repeated water infection's,
all that worry,it just show's that until you see the people who specialise in your problem,try not to think about thing's to deeply,easier said that done i know;
now i have just got to wait for my daughter to have her first scan and i can truly relax.

Glad that your appointment has come through so quickly Sue. At least you now know that the experts will soon be sorting out the problem and doing whatever needs to be done.

I know that this must be a worrying time for you, but at least they have found that something isn't quite right, so they will do something about it.

Lovely news about your daughter, I hope that this pregnancy progresses well.

Only about 4weeks till the scan (they do have a scan at around 12 weeks don't they?)

Just take care, stay positive, stick to a kidney friendly diet & wait for your appointment. A renal consultant is the best person to help you, he sees many people with the same problem.

hello everyone,
i got my appointment for the hospital 7th feb, nice and quick,
my daughter is 8week's pregnant,i will wait until she has had a scan before i get to excited,it was at the first scan when they found the problem with the baby hence the need to have it terminated,i have got my finger's crossed this time will have a positive outcome.

Positive thoughts for you Sue, as Paula says with your medical history the docs are taking every precaution.
