Hi all...well...i wonder if anyone can help with my gt grandfather...im trying to locate his military records. Here's what i know about Alfed Henry Jones already

1879 birth cert of AH Jones gives address as 13 Chatham Street, Newington, and parents Edwin and Elizabeth

Marriage certificate gives Alfred Henry Jones, aged 23, a brass finisher, living at 4 Flora Terrace, Elsted Road, Newington, father Edwin Jones of "independent means"

1911 census shows that Alfred and Ada had 4 children born living, 3 still alive.
Ive never found the 4th child born before 1911

electoral Roll
1920 to 1939 68 Dillwyn Road, Sydenham. Alfred & Ada Jones

27.2.1942 the death certificate of Ada Georgina Jones gives Alfreds occupation as Borough Council labourer. They were living at 68 Dillwyn Road SE26 at this time.

He was in a military uniform in a photo I have of him with all his surviving children taken in 1917, however the photo is too old to be able to identify the regiment. :(

Only one on Ancestry,I think.
He appears to be single.
