I can identify with this. I took my OH on his first visit to a scrapyard where he was disturbed to find that they knew my name.

Ladies, If I bought my wife a set of pans I would have them stuffed in various body orifices.

We have a rather unconventional life. When we go window shopping my wife makes a bee-line for power tools and DIY stuff and I go into raptures over food mixers and other culinary equipment :-S

lol Ginnie, I agree. But in this case they were for me!

I do a great deal of cooking and our last set of pans was a relatively cheap one. Lids have gone missing over the years etc.

As for the cutlery, our last set we actually got when we redeemed some green shield stamps!!

:-D :-D :-D :-D

But that's what shops are for aren't they? Just so we ladies can get lots of lovely things for our homes whether we need them or not :-D :-D :-D :-D

Edit.. Sounds like a bargain to me

My OH was given a notebook computer for Christmas by our two adult children. OH does a lot of embroidery on her sewing machine and really needed such a notebook to help her with all her downloads of patterns.

My clunky desktop is in a seperate room to the one oH uses for her craftwork, so previously we had to physically cart her machine into my room.

The mouse she was using with the notebook gave up the ghost the other day, so we set of to buy a new one (wireless)

Went to one of the big shopping centres where there was not much choice.

So into the town centre to a very large office supplies company. Mouse purchased

So far, so good. :-)

Made the mistake of going back to the shopping centre where OH went into a dress shop and I was sent into a kitchen appliance shop right opposite.

Big mistake!! :-D

My wife joined me shortly thereafter and within a few minutes had purchased a canteen of cutlery (8 place settings-there are only two of us!) for $160.00 reduced from $390.00 and a set of pans steamers and roasting tray for $399.00, reduced from $1000.00

It turned out to be a bl**dy expensive mouse :-|
