Glad to hear you arrive3d ok Uzzi - very windy here on Costa Blanca this morning but heyho it will dry the washing on roof - as long as the pegs hold and it doesnt take off !!

Hope you manage to get everything done and are back in Spain soon.

West Coast of Scotland:
We had no snow all of last week.
Temp was well into the minuses but really dry with clear blue skies, and no dampness meant no ice!.
There is a blizzard outside now and the skies are heavily laden with more snow to come.

Glad you got there safely Uzzi. Watch out if there is ice on the ground outside, you don't want to end up at A&E. Good luck with progressing the house clearing.

Glad you arrived safely and were warm at the house Uzzi, well done for getting stuck in so quickly even tho your relatives haven't been able to get there to help you. Hope things go well and you can soon get back to the warmth of your home and hubby,

Thanks for info re London, it's been snowing here all night, gently, so will be snow on the tracks but hope it's not too bad for son to go away, they don't leave till 10.30am so other trains might have cleared the tracks a bit.

Well done Uzzi - you're a stalwart that's for sure. I'm pleased to hear the neighbour turned the heating on, so it was warm when you arrived. I thought about that yesterday and hoped he would have.

Well I made the Island with no problem although my b*m got cold everytime the train doors opened :-0 Not as bad as I expected it to be over here and thankfully Mum´s neighbour had put the heating up so it was very toasty. I made a good start already got 4 bags of rubbish out for the bin men, 2 bags for charity and 2 for Mum

Sharron your OH doesn´t get in to trouble over here just gets locked in vans :-D

FD when I left Spain it was lovely and warm (although it had been raining earlier) the past week I have been in thin trackies and sun tops with a lightweight cardie/hoodie for doh walking but the nights due chill down (bodywarmer needed) I am acclimatised so dress warmer the holiday Brits have been in shorts or 3/4´s .
Barcelona is further north than we are so could be cooler.

Liz I didn´t find London that bad but didn´t go very far from the airport and it was snowing lightly when I left this morning. But all trains from Gatwick were running so fingers crossed for your son.

Ann wasn´t the greatest time to come as the weather has stopped my aunt and uncle from coming over but at least I am not driving

What was the temperature you left behind Uzzi. Going to Barcelona on 9th Feb and can't invisage a warmer climb no matter how hard I try. I will probably go in mi ski suit just in case. lol.

I think you need to change your name for the duration, Uzzi. I have been thinking about you finding it so cold here, and hope you can get to your destination and be warm while you are dealing with everything there. Not the best of times to visit but needs must.

My son and his gf have arranged some time back to visit London on Monday and Tuesday, they have booked a hotel and will lose their money if they can't get to the capital, hope the trains will run ok, even if a little late. I am a bit worried that they have booked to stay in King's Cross but hope it's not as rough as it used to be in my days of staying in Londaon (never in K.X)

Can´t say I am that impressed with the weather that greeted me or the temperatures brrrrrrrrr. haven´t got any further than Gatwick because as always the ruddy media tells fibs ! I could have made it to the Island tonight it ain´t that cold (well it´s not in this bar ! actually it´´s colder in this bar than it is outside at home ).

Anyway no wifi in room here and the bar isn´t that warm, so replies will from me will be tomorrow after I reach the land beyond. If I am not back then somebody send a buddy snow plough out for me please Sharron knows the way (Wend does aswell but never driven)
