It's Australia Day on Saturday 26 January, the day the First Fleet came ashore (in Sydney Cove) in 1788.

If you have trouble understanding us Aussies at times, here's a link to some Aussie slang ~

Some of them aren't much in use any more, and every State is different!

Remember ~ Aussie women DON'T appreciate being called Shela!

I have a convict on the first fleet on the Charlotte and have had an interest in this,so was delighted to walk the historic route around the rock area of Sydney last year.I just printed out the map and followed the trail.Was more interesting to me than seeing all the tall modern buildings.
Have a good Australia Day everyone....wish I was there!
