Started out bright and early me that is not the day, the day was overcast and drizzly. But I needed to go up the village so I wrapped up warm and set off lugging with me a case of wool to take to the nice lady at the bazaar in the village hall. Now it´s not a short walk it takes a good 20mins but not to be daunted along I trudged. They have moved the bazaar from Wednesday to Thursday. with still half an hour to go I thought I would pop into Boots and spend my £10 voucher that some kind soul send to Mum for xmas. Oh sorry but our internet is down we can´t swipe the card. Lets try the co-op thought me and see what I can get for lunch. Nothing and the queue was so long I thought forget it. Eventually the bank opened Yes we can change some of the foreign currency but it´s in the safe and the time lock doesn´t open for another half hour. !!! grrrrrrrr I´ll come back tomorrow. So off I went home calling at the bottom shop to get supplies that way I only have to lug it 10mins walk. Got home and realised I had come out with out the keys. Thankfully a neighbour has a spare set.

So I´m going to have a nice cup of coffee and then start packing again.

No there is more I´ve only forgot to buy coffee so I have 2 more cups and then I am on decaf and after that things can only get better !

Things did get better even with decaf coffee, I got down to my last packing box and went Noooooooo so had a debate do I buy more or what. BUT I looked around and there is nothing else that is breakable to pack so the rest can go in storage bags YEAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Edited to say and the sun is out this morning cold but not wet so the walk up to the village shouldn´t be too bad.

When do you return to Spain Uzzi?

Ann I leave the Island on Sunday (hubby´s birthday sob ) and fly back to Spain on Monday YEAAAAAAAA

Update on how I am doing.
I made the bank and have sorted all her foreign currency out what they couldn´t change will go to Saga Charitable Trust.
I dropped the wool off and replaced it with loads of knitted baby clothes, I could have had money for it but it was given for baby clothes for the orphanages so it seemed a fair exchange
I have spent my Boots voucher.
Packed all the goodies for Saga ready to go free post to them.

So
Tomorrow they come and take the car
RSPCA come and collect all the clothes and bric-a-brac that I have sorted
Movers come to give me a price on how much it will move what I am taking.

I have run out of boxes but reluctant to buy 10 when only need 1 so it´s a make do job maybe. I have 3 underbed storage boxes.
I have the final bits to sort BUT the cupboards, wardrobes, filing cabinets, kitchen is empty,
The garage is nearly sorted and I haven´t looked in the shed that is tomorrows job.

Then all I have to do is sort the furniture :-|

Thanks Ann, I know I will have forgotten something major but if I get rid of the "unwanted" tomorrow then I can see what is left.

It will be good to get home even if I have to listen to Mum on the Tuesday !

You have worked a miracle by the sounds of it.

You must have worked like mad to get it all sorted and everything arranged to your satisfaction..

I bet you will be glad to get on the plane on Monday and get rid of this cold weather.


Edit,,, at least when you get home you can make it up to hubby for not being at home on his birthday.

Sue I am not sure that I have worked miracles as there will still be a lot to do, but yes I will be glad to be home and out of the cold. And hubby will be getting lots of hugs when I get back and then he can cook me dinner !

Ann all being well yes this is the last time on the island for me, if I come again it will be when it is sold, but I am hoping that I won´t have to do that if everything is arranged now :-)

Wow Uzzi - girl done well. You can probably see what the rooms look like now - bet it looks 100% more saleable :-D

Hey you have been a busy little girl - but a job well done. At least you will appreciate the weather back home. We have had some really strong winds but at least dry and warmer than the UK.

Thanks Mary I had heard about the strong winds and although I am not a lover of them, it will be better than this cold.

Liz I don´t know if things will be less fraught until the place is sold but at least I can go home and know that I have done my best.

Now I´m just waiting for the RSPCA so I can clear the floors of bin bags and debris, I´ve already attacked the garage and that is sorted just the final look around clear up and of course the shed !
Roll on Sunday when I can lock the door on it again :-D
