As a standard member you are unable to view records....you would need the platinum membership for that which is approx £80 per year plus

I see you have only been a member since June 2012 which is not a few years ago....did you have another account which contained your tree?

Welcome back then Val. T he site was updated a few months back. I am sure that, if you left a tree on here it should still be here but you would need to ask support about that and I think you will have to wait until Monday to do that now. However, as Jax says, did you re-register under the same name? You would always have had to pay to view records, either by being a higher grade mamber (Platinum) and therefore paying more in membership fees, or by pay to view. If you want help with look ups why not go onto the find ancestors board and ask for help. :-)

Hi again
I think I joined up as my marital surname (Stanfield) and could most likely have joined in the past using my maiden name (George)
So do I now wait until Monday to contact support ????
many thanks

Hi Val,

If you had members of your tree on here last time try a search for one of the names--top right under Search then Search all Trees.

You may need to enter your tree details again as GR have a new tree programe plus a major overall of the site which has sent trees anyhow.

I think my problem was I stopped quite a few years back..... well before 2012 as someone suggested that must be the reason.
.I think its all been deleted!!! :-(

I doubt that your tree was deleted,

The fact you have opened a NEW account means you don't have access to your OLD account and there for your OLD tree

Log out then log back in using your OLD log in details and your tree should be their in that account

Are you 100% sure you entered the correct password?

You can use the forgot password option, then they will email you,

Remember GR will contact you using the email address/account that you had when you registered that account

Roy

Edit if you no longer have that email Addy then because your email is part of the log in username requirements then you may need to contact GR support but that's no guarantee that they will be able to help, They need that info in order to ID your old account

One more thing you could try? Did the email from GR have a link? for you to use, if so try using that link to gain access

Using the tree search you can look for people in the trees. Assuming you know the names of the people in your old tree do a search for some of these names. Use approx birth dates if possible leave locations blank. That will bring up a list of possibles. For each possible there will be the name of the tree owner - Susan, George etc etc. Click on the more info button and you will get the full membership name and number. One of them will be you.

If you are lucky you are still using the same email address. Try sending a message to the person ( add a note in case it is someone else ) and it may arrive in yr inbox. If it does then all you need to do is to ask for a password reset from Genes.

Perhaps somebody could say what to do if you are sure of the membership ID but no longer have the email address ?
