I don't drive, but see many drives using their mobiles whilst trying to negotiate traffic lights.
They may be 'safe' in their cars, but we pedestrians have to second guess their actions. Indicators appear to be minimal whilst driving one handed.

My son was a drink driver unfortunately, in his younger days, not something he is proud of now

Vintagefinemaid I am so sorry it upset you in the way it did.
It is meant to upset people but more in the way of shock people into educating drivers to not use the phone & act in a responsible manner while driving a car on the road.
We can only hope it works with as many as poss.

I couldn't watch it all, brought back too many horrific memories of the time my son had to be cut out of a car following an accident

Let's hope it makes people stop and think before they use their phones while driving

Glad GR reinstated the OP.

We see so many idiots on their phones whilst driving plus reading maps spread across the steering wheel, eating and drinking etc.,

All of the above mean the driver is not in full control of their vehicle otherwise known as a lethal weapon.

This was aimed at younger drivers but drivers of all ages drive cars on the road, get on the phone & talk to another person maybe start to have a laugh & the next thing that person knows if he/she is lucky is all hell has broken out. Yes ban drivers from using mobile phones while driving.

I've just watched the video thanks (if that's the correct word?)

Can't believe some of the comments made on there!! "it's horrific but not reality" .....fgs can they not use their imaginations and be more aware of how precious life is!!.......I get soo furious when I see drivers on their mobiles.

I think there should be a total ban on using mobiles while driving and that also includes hand-free sets!

MrDaff Report 28 Jan 2013 23:57

BK, could you PM me the link? I normally travel the motorways daily and see lots of stupid driving - I'd like to see, and be able to comment, on what you have highlighted.

Many tks,

Mr D (whose not worried about virus infection....got good and 'as you type' protection :-D )

PP if you were concerned you could have contacted me & talked to me about it first. I help on 3 other sites giving tech support so think I know what i'm talking about. The link I had up was safe so if you had a virus on your computer it did not come from that link. You have now rendered this thread worthless & I can't even delete it. :-|

Wend Report 28 Jan 2013 19:56

I agree PP, I know it's probably on FB. Haven't seen it on there myself, but it's a warning to us all from you not to click on it there, as are MANY things on FB we shouldn't click on - I'm VERY wary these days, hope others are too.

Sorry did not know about the Black Mark - but at least I was honest. If Phil finds no problems it will be put back.

I too have anti virus etc., which check my system several times a day. But this was the first time something happened.

Just a bit worried that was all.

Wend - I did not Report because of the content (not bothered either way) I reported because I was concerned that there was a virus somewhere in the Link either on here or on FB.

Wend Report 28 Jan 2013 19:42

I appreciated your putting the link up BK and have c n p'd it and forwarded it on to my 3 children. Everyone on here should have the opportunity to look at it and make their own judgment, imo.
