My wonderful nan passed peacefully away today just 7 weeks before her 103rd birthday.

She was an amazing person who was such a character that everyone who met her couldn't help but love her. Heavens gain is my loss.

Hello

Just read about your Nan, My Dad passed away five years ago, I still miss him, he was a wonderfull caring loving Dad to my brother , my-self and a marvelous Grandad..

I hope I meet up with him one day and can tell him I LOVED HIM, some-thing I could not say, why ?

Advice from one who knows, IF YOU LOVE SOME-ONE , TELL THEM , ESPECIALY YOUR PARENTS CHILDREN GRANDCHILDREN..

Do not think it silly or any-thing. Because you will never for-give your-self other-wise.

Thank you all for your replies.

Dopeydoc, I love you was the last thing I said to my nan. The manager at the care home was holding her hand just before she died and she told my nan that I was on my way and that I loved her. I will always be grateful to her for that. Unfortunately I got there 15 minutes too late.

Chrissie....Im so sorry to hear of your loss my deepest condolences.....

I love and adore my Nan and my family and I are so lucky to still have her with us, one of the great generation she is, as was your Nan... True spirits who knew/know how to deal with the living of everyday life and yet smile through it.....

As my Nan says to me Chrissie, it is up to us as a generation to pass and pay forward the love, the hardship and the happiness of life as they did/do for us......

Quite agree Jude. It's so nice to hear some one say I love you.

I recall during one visit, I bent down to kiss her goodbye and she said, "I love you duck" I knew it was said so genuinely, it meant everything.
