It can certainly be done as we had some transferred years ago although I can't remember how much we paid.

I found this on a Google search. It's the first site I looked at so may not be typical but it does give some prices:-

My cousins had this done by a professional company and they copied across film from pre 1950 very successfully. Sorry I don't know the cost

My MiL was very touched by the film of her wedding

There are specialist companies that will do it at a price but for a cheap alternative, project the film onto a screen (or plain white wall) and use a digital camcorder to record it. You will need to use a tripod to avoid camera shake but the result will be pretty good and you can then transfer it to com[puter, DVD etc

I have got about 15 old cine films from my childhood. I brought them all back from Mums. I am sure that these can be put on DVD does anybody know what the cost ...the clarity... who would do it. ...and am I right it can be done.

It would be amazing for me if I could put these films on to something I could see as they are from my ages young up to 9 Once we bought the cine camera we no longer took photos.

is not the same to day mind, we capture photos on our new toy and forget to record them
