I don't need info on him as he's an inlaw, thank you. Isaiah is related to both of us though. I have Isaiah and his wife and children.

Hannah remarried in 1854 (Thomas Humphreys) and had 4 more children half brothers and sister to Isaiah. Hannah had 2 more children, Joshua Vanes born 1842 and Honor Vanes born 1846, kept the name Vanes on the marriage, who their father was ?????????. :-0

Honor is a definite family name. I will take a good look at Uncles tree maybe she just felt it was respectable to use her late husbands surname x

PatinCyprus Report 2 Feb 2013 15:54

Honor was named after Hannah's mother, Honor Pearson who married John Lloyd in 1807.

I think she used the name to stay respectable, they may have had 2 different fathers. Wonder if her husband knew they were not Dennis's children, Isaiah was 5 or 6 when Honor was born, still young enough to be fooled. No doubt her family knew. Wonder if it was a Lloyd secret? ;-)

I am really confused now.
I wanted to join this thread because it is about rugby but now I am not sure what it is about.
Rugby?
Scoring points?
Slanging matches?
Genealogy?
Architectural merits of bridges?

Does the name Hannah Rosetta Boden who married William Boys mean anything, they were both born in Walsall. William may have also used Walter as 1901 census states Walter.

Apologies for confusion.

Sorry Pat nothing x

PatinCyprus Report 2 Feb 2013 16:24

If you were related to that Boden we would be connected on my maternal side as well. The daughter of that marriage, Fanny, was married to my mother's uncle on her father's side.

That would be something :-D

Errol, Don't worry, I'm sure John till be along shortly to turn it into a Welsh thread as that appears to be missing from your list :-\

hehehe Porkie Pie.
I feel duped - instead of this being a thread discussing rugby for real rugby fans we are talking about Great Aunt Fanny.
Still, I'm sure John can shoehorn it into a Welsh topic for us somehow

hehehehehehehehe
